Stonith: high-availability-speak for “Shoot The Other Node In The Head”, for when you absolutely positively need to be sure the other node is down so you can initiate failover.

I'll have to use that. I just closed out my Sev1s with Veritas and EMC for my new RAC cluster, and shooting was definantly considered.
