I think I'd be completely fine with it if a person wanting the handgun had to wait for *at least* the same amount of time. I'm all for vasectomies, but I can understand short waiting period "just in case".

The whole crazy, gun-slinging, bible thumping Baptist notions? Well....I'm an atheist liberal. I'm going to hell anyway, so I might as well enjoy the ride down.
