news from the mechanics

Just got a call from the mechanics at Zimbrick.

1) the two sensors that need replacing (I was figuring on ~$400) are *both* covered by warranty, so free!

2) the front bumper of my car which I tore up on a parking thinger is only going to be $130 to fix! I was figuring on another $400 or so.

So, I get more work done today and am paying much less than I planned on! Go me!

I see that on both accounts, you planned for about $400. It is comforting to know that I'm not the only one to notice that any sort of repair on a Jetta, from oil change to flat tire to blown alternator is always about $400. This needs more media attention.
