Holey ears, Batman!

A couple Saturdays ago I lost one of my 4 gauge earlets. They'd been loose for quite a while--they'd pop out in the shower, or while I was sleeping, or when evilevi was playing with my ears. I think they 1) stretched a bit since I got them scalpeled last Sept, and 2) they might have been scalpeled a bit large to begin with, since they got loose very quickly after healing.

Previously, I'd always had the rogue earlet on hand, but I didn't notice it was missing till a half hour later, and didn't feel like going back to the restaurant to search in the dim light for the black earlet.

I went down to Blue Lotus after work (after having my ear hole gaping open all Sunday and Monday) to see about replacing the earlet, or possibly moving up a size. Well, the options were limited since they didn't have the 4ga ones in stock, so I bought a pair of the 2ga ones, and took them home. The ear with the remaining earlet went in just fine, but the empty one apparently had shrunk enough over two days that it was a bit tougher. All was well after leaving the 4ga one in overnight.

It's strange how much a difference of a couple mm makes. The 2ga ones are huge! I'm definitely not going any larger than this -- if they stretch more, I'm going to have to go w/o jewelry in them for a longer period to see how they shrink on their own.

I only played with your ears once. Though I guess at least you didn't say I was playing with your holes. Not that I wouldn't want to, but you probably wouldn't let me. ;)

I've had 4 ga jewelry "stuck" in my ears for the past 3 years - they are barbed on the ends like arrows and big enough that I can't take them out. I'm so sick of them I could scream, but I don't want to stretch up to even 2 ga because there is a huge difference between the 2 sizes... le sigh.
