Gencon went extremely well, despite not leaving Madison for Indy until 5:30 Wednesday. Having problems with the printers due to corrupt embedded fonts was *not* my idea of how I wanted to spend my birthday. (Then again, neither was 6 hours in a car)

However, despite that, we were actually pretty well prepared for the con. Our first actual printed gaming book, Dread, sold reasonably well (it pretty much sold what we were told to expect for a good run on a small press book). Got a few books on shelves in Appleton, and should have them on the shelves here in Madison soon. Despite having thrown the book together at great expense and at the last minute when we’d discovered we’d be able to have a reseller at the con, it looks great. Now we have to figure out how to sell it. Sell it ourselves, taking payments via Paypal? Go through a distributor to get to brick-and-mortar stores? Go with an online reseller? Keep going with Print On Demand printers?

Preview BESM 3e character sheets for Advanced Dimensional Green Ninja-Educational Preparatory Super-Elementary Fortress 555 didn’t do quite as well as we’d hoped, but I think things will pick up once BESM 3e is actually out (it was supposed to be released at GenCon (and we’d get in as one of the first 3rd party 3e supplements), but Guardians of Order are a bit behind schedule).

Our lackey GMs did an excellent job, and despite there being nearly 40 TID-releated events at the con (a new record for us), not a single one had to be canceled due to lack of players. I’m fairly sure that’s a first.

And the long-dormant Tech Noir might have gotten a kick in the pants. It’s been sitting on the back burner for a couple years now, partly due to my love/hate relationship with D20, and partly because the setting was so bland. I think I might have solved both of them, but I’m not going to make any promises yet. However, I haven’t been this excited about the project in quit some time.
