canada ain't all it's cracked up to be

Several of my friends have put forth plans (in varying levels of seriousness) to escape to Canada, which is a land of wonderful health care and guaranteed civil liberties. Turns out it’s not really any better than the U.S. under Bush/Ashcroft. 19 Muslims have been detained in Canada for “immigration violations”.
