I biked to work for the first time since my surgery, and things went well. I'm glad I didn't try anything longer than just going to work, since things are still a bit tender in the groinal region. Should be ok, though.
Campus construction can finish up any day now, though. I usually head down Lakeshore Path, and come up to Soc Sci from behind--the hill is *much* easier to handle that way. My leg muscles are much weer than they need to be to really handle Charter Street well via bicycle.
However, when I turned down Park Street to hit the Path this morning, it was *completely* closed off. As of two weeks ago, it was still possible to make it all the way down, even though it was partially closed. No so anymore. So I deftly executed a U-turn, and slogged up University to Charter. I *did* manage to make it all the way up (though I had to hit the granny gear, but that's what it's there for).
